In 2010, in honour of the 50th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence, Hennessy introduced a ‘Hennessy 50’ limited edition bottle. Fifty thousand of these special edition bottles were created with unique numbers to serve as collector’s items for Nigerians as they celebrate the nation’s golden jubilee anniversary.

Sesema PR was appointed the event planner and media relations consultant to handle the launch of ‘Hennessy 50’. We planned the publicity for the unveiling which included a press conference and one on one interviews, and managed the event which was held at the Lagos Oriental Hotel.

 

Hennessy, whose relationship with Nigeria dates back to the early 1920’s used the launch to celebrate the evolution of Nigerian culture and lifestyle over the past five decades.
