Ericsson appoints Sesema PR as communications agency, 1st February 2008



In line with an increasing scope of work, Ericsson called for a pitch to take care of its Marketing & Communications activities. During a rigorous selection procedure which involved a number of agencies the end of the first round saw the reduction of the agencies to two. Sesema PR was adjudged to be the most closely aligned to the objectives and aims of the organization.

 

Olabode Sowunmi, the Marketing and Communications Manager, Ericsson (West Africa), said “In the time past we had our agency focus more on corporate communications with a bias for PR but now the business dynamics has necessitated a change of scope.” He summed up his company’s expectations by saying, “We have no doubt that Sesema PR will deliver the necessary mileage that we expect of our chosen Marketing & communications Consultancy. With the Company’s vivid interpretation of the PR brief, and grasp of Ericsson’s products and services, we believe that we have made the right choice.”

By winning this account, Sesema PR has added Ericsson to its list of new clients which includes The Apprentice Africa, (The African version of Donald Trumps popular business reality TV show) and SAS, world leader in business intelligent and predictive analytic software.  Sesema currently works for Lotus Capital and The Palms Shopping Mall; and carries out projects for Coca-Cola and PZ.
